Marla Chicotsky mchicotsky@floridalawyerdefenseteam.com Marla Chicotsky was born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas. Ms. Chicotsky graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. Thereafter, Ms. Chicotsky attended St. Thomas School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate. Ms. Chicotsky practices primarily Criminal Law along with attorney Eric Schwartzreich. Ms. Chicotsky has prior experience in Business Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Administrative Law, and Real Estate Law. From 2007 to 2009, Ms. Chicotsky was an Assistant State Attorney, for the 17th Judicial Circuit, for the State of Florida. While working for the State, Ms. Chicotsky was a lead Prosecutor on numerous Jury Trials, Bench Trials, and Evidentiary Hearings. Along with her experience as a Prosecutor, Ms. Chicotsky has gained a wide range of legal experience, including her certified internship with the City of Ft. Lauderdale's Prosecution Office, an internship with the Honorable Daryl E. Trawick of the 11th Judicial Circuit for the State of Florida, and as an employee for a civil practioner throughout Law School and during her Legal Career. Ms. Chicotsky has extensive statewide trial experience. She has expanded her trial experience to include representing clients from charges including False Imprisonment, Battery, Assault, DUI Manslaughter, Home Invasion Robbery, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Felony Strangulation, Felony Drug Charges, Violation of Injunction, Probation Violation Hearings, as well as numerous other criminal charges. Ms. Chicotsky has an extensive and very successful Motion Practice including numerous wins on Motions to Dismiss and Motions to Suppress at the County and Circuit Court level.
